Hearing is only one part of listening. In this active experience participants will practice going beyond words and tuning into what someone means. Through silly trust-building, anti-listening and application of true connection we will engage in practice to help us all listen with our whole self.
The technique focused on in this session is motivational interviewing (MI), an evidence-based communication skill that helps evoke intrinsic motivation. Using MI can effectively support communication by encouraging a deeper understanding of one’s views and ideas for change.
