Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Join Mallory Combemale, Co-Founder of Inheritance Project for a 60-min exploration of your identity, heritage personal history. We will begin to unpack your unique inheritance, peel back the layers of beliefs that make you who you are and explore how this shapes the way you approach creative problem solving and collaboration. Start your journey of self-discovery with our free online workbook: http:;//www.inheritanceproject.org/workbook.

What will you learn or experience as a result of this program or session?
  • Explore how your personal history and ancestry affects the way you collaborate, create and solve problems
  • Understand why unpacking the unique inheritance of your collaborators is so essential to effective creative problem solving
  • Experience exercises that empower authentic conversations across lines of difference
  • Feel empowered to collaborate with diverse teams with confidence

How might the content of this program or session change your perceptions, habits, ways of working, or view on the world?
  • We live and work in more diverse environments than ever before, and yet are more divided than ever. Afraid of offending, we avoid potentially challenging conversations with those from different backgrounds, evade conflict and allow negative dynamics to fester unaddressed, and miss out on opportunities to learn, connect and grow. We hope you will leave with increased curiosity about your unique inheritance story and that of those you work with, as well as practical tools to approach conversations about diversity, inclusion, identity and build trust with any group

How might you apply what you learn or experience in this program or session?
  • The Inheritance Project models an approach to genuine trust building in diverse groups, which can be used by any leader or CPS facilitator to enhance collaboration in a group

Mallory is a Co-Founder of Inheritance Project, which helps communities bridge divides, build trust and communicate openly.  Our experiences encourage individual self-reflection and empower people to become the authors of their own story.  Inheritance Project is founded on the principle that in order to consciously create our future, we first have to understand our past.  Mallory is a Core Faculty Member at CPSI, teaching Tools & Techniques and worked for 5 years as a facilitator at the Deloitte Greenhouse, specializing in sessions on executive strategy, innovation and leadership team effectiveness. She has experience in ethnographic research, participatory design and multi-stakeholder engagement.
