NOTE: This is part one of a two-part session. Catch part two on Tuesday June 16 at 3:00 PM EDT.This session will be open to the first 48 people who arrive in the Zoom meeting. To “coddiwomple” is to walk purposefully towards a destination as yet unknown. Education tends to be linear, regimented, structured with little room for imagination or creative thinking. Creativity isn’t a school subject which can be assessed but is ignited when people are playful and childlike.
Using a hybrid of CPS and Design Thinking we have developed a highly interactive, playful methodology (coddiwompiling) for education at all levels (9 years olds to those studying at PHD level). The coddiwomple uses language and exercises that make our methodology understandable for younger audiences.
In this workshop we will share the first steps (empathy stage) of the coddiwomple experience as we guide you through the tools, techniques and exercises that we use to open minds, spark imagination, inject playfulness and unleash creativity in formal education settings.
